Throwing axes not shade with Buckt

One of the best things about living in Manchester is having access to unique and wonderful activities on your doorstep. From indoor rock climbing, to axe throwing, there are so many exciting things you can do on a weekend.
With so much choice, it’s hard to make a decision. Wouldn’t it be good if someone hand-picked five activities for you to do every month….
I’ve teamed up with Buckt, a subscription service especially for events and activities. Every month they send you a box with five mystery activities in your area. These range from restaurant vouchers, to comedy shows and football clubs.
The best part? A subscription box is usually £25 but if you use the code HANNAHGETSHENCH you’ll get 50% off!
Whistle Punks Axe throwing
To celebrate the launch of their subscription box in Manchester, Buckt invited me to throw some axes with them at Whistle Punks in Manchester.
It may surprise you but axe throwing is something I’ve always wanted to do! I guess it’s because it’s so different to anything I would normally do in my everyday life. I thought it would be a bit like throwing darts – spoiler alert, it’s nothing like that!
The venue is really cool and has activities to warm up your hand-eye coordination before you move onto the stalls where you throw the axes. The guys at Whistle Punks took us through the safety procedures and let us have some practice shots before we entered a friendly competition with the fellow bloggers and the Buckt team.
Unfortunately I didn’t win, but I managed to hit a few axes into the board so I was happy with that. I’d definitely go again and recommend it to anyone, it was a really fun afternoon and a good way to get some aggression out!
Thank you to Whistle Punks and Buckt for inviting me.
