It’s been a couple of months’ since I started the Results with Lucy OnDemand+ programme…
Sorry guys, I should have updated you about how I was getting on. I’m a bad blogger and I’ve been busy juggling work, blogging stuff, and all the rest of that jazz that comes along with being a human.
Who are your heroes? Who inspires you? Who encourages you want to strive for more?
Ok, I’ll stop asking these cheesy questions now.
The reason for the weird questions is because last week I met my fitness hero, Emily Skye!
If you don’t know her, Emily Skye is a super famous personal trainer and fitness model from Australia. She creates online PT programmes for people and produces loads of free content for her blog and YouTube channel.
I have been in awe of her for a couple of years after discovering her Instagram, because a) she’s smoking hot, b) she’s dedicated to fitness and c) she keeps it real.
Today I want to write about something a bit different; let’s talk about makeup!
On my about section, it says I’m a bit of a beauty geek and this interest is definitely growing but it isn’t something I’ve written about yet.
I’m the kind of girl who is too intimidated to venture into a high-end makeup shop unless I have a full face of slap on (I’m looking at you Selfridges…) so browsing professional make-up from the comfort of Boots is more my style.
Who doesn’t love a good pampering session? There’s nothing better than treating yourself to something that makes you feel amazing after a stressful day at work.
I’ve recently had the opportunity to try out some of the non-invasive treatments at Rejuvenate Skin Clinic in Manchester, which you can read more about here. The clinic specialises in treatments that help people feel fabulous in their own skin.
Side note, the clinic smells so nice! The scent of lavender oils creates such a relaxing sanctuary to unwind in.
One of the services I was curious about was the cellulite treatment…
If you follow me on twitter you MIGHT be aware that last week I had my wisdom tooth removed. Although I kept it pretty quiet….*rolls eyes*
Now I don’t like to be overly dramatic but it really was one of the worst things I’ve ever experienced.
Before surgery I read SO many articles about how it was such a standard procedure and the recovery time would be minimal. I believed I would be fine in a few days. I’d survive on ice cream and I might get ‘hamster cheeks’ but it would be no-biggie.
Well it was not the ice-cream binge of happiness I expected.
Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Rejuvenate Skin Clinic in Manchester. The clinic specialises in non-invasive non-surgical treatments that aim to enhance natural beauty and help you feel more confident in your own skin.
Non-surgical treatments have soared in popularity over the last few years because there is no downtime and they are pain-free. When I visited the London Health show last year (read my post here) I was captivated by Dr Leah Totten’s discussion about non-invasive treatments to keep your skin looking healthy, youthful and glowing.
I turned 25 a couple of months ago, so my interest in anti-ageing products has naturally growth and I’ve started making more of an effort to look after my skin (I now use an eye cream AND a separate night cream.)
The vegan movement has significantly risen in popularity, so much so that 2016 could be the most important year for vegans yet. It is estimated that 1.2 million people in the UK are vegan and young people and teens make up the highest proportion of that number.
Whether it’s for health reasons, animal welfare, or to be more ethically conscious, veganism is having a renaissance and is no longer just associated with hippies. The vegan lifestyle is being integrated into our community as a norm, a rather trendy norm at that.
