I want to share some exciting fitness news with you; I’m working with Results with Lucy and trialing the OnDemand+ workout plan! Hence why I have used pictures of the gorgeous Lucy Mecklenburg in this blog!

I’m was so excited to start using the Results with Lucy OnDemand+ program because Lucy and her team of fitness gurus have spent the last few years perfecting their amazing fitness programs. My good pal Beky has followed the workouts over the last year and she loves them. So after putting it off for over a week, due to a stubborn cold and general life commitments, I finally set aside some time to explore the website and complete my first workout.

The OnDemand+ plan

As I already go to the gym and have a busy schedule, the flexibility of the OnDemand+ program really appealed to me. Instead of following a strict program, I can log in and workout whenever I want.

I’ve completed workout DVDs and YouTube exercise tutorials before, but I have never used a subscription service like Results with Lucy. In all honesty, I didn’t expect it to come with as many features as it does, or be filled with such a variety of exercises and recipe ideas.

The website is easy to use and completely personalised to you. It includes loads of information about how to use the portal, which you can download as a separate PDF to refer to. There is also an option to complete a fitness assessment, which tells you which fitness level you’re at and you can repeat this every few months to track improvements.

As I’m doing the OnDemand + plan, I’m basically my own personal trainer. I pick and choose the exercises to do and can create my own personalised workout playlists, or follow the pre-made ones. To get you started, there is a huge library of over 400 workout videos to choose from, including warm ups, legs, arms, abs, full body and cool downs, plus different videos for each fitness level.

The Results with Lucy program recommends doing 4 workouts a week of around 45 minutes. Although you can choose which workouts you want to do, so if you want to do less you can. For my first session, I chose a pre-made one, Carys’ Ultimate Legs Workout, which was beginner/intermediate and lasted an hour, consisting of several 5-10 minute exercises videos.

Sometimes exercise videos are too full on and the instructors can get on my nerves, but I didn’t find that with Lucy and the team. It sounds cheesy, but the chemistry between them made it feel like I was having my own personal training session instead of following a video.

Also, it included moves which I’ve never even heard of before, so I felt like I discovered new exercises that I couldn’t find anywhere else. Plus the day after the session and I was aching in places I didn’t even know could ache, I had sore muscles for days!

For only £14 a month you get the direction of a personal trainer but with the flexibility to workout in your own time. Plus for an extra £3.50 you get access to all the amazing healthy recipes so you can become the healthiest version of yourself.

All in all, I can’t wait to improve my strength, flexibility and fitness with the Results with Lucy OnDemand+ program. I’m aiming to do at least 3 sessions a week, as well as my usual gym sessions, so I will be posting regularly to let you know how I’m getting on. I hope you enjoy reading my progress! In the meantime, visit the website and explore the plans for yourself.
