So it looks like 2016 is quickly shaping up to be my best year as a fitness blogger!
*Warning: this next paragraph may sound a bit braggy…
For the first time in my life I have medals for my achievements, yeah I know they hand those out to everyone who took part but I’ve never won a MEDAL before – prior to this I only had a rosette that my childhood guinea pig had won for having the shiniest coat at a school pet show.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day…or it is for me at least. I am one of those people who wake up absolutely starving in the morning and I need something really filling to give me energy for a busy morning.
If you’ve noticed that I look different recently, it might be because during the last two months I have transformed from a woman into a WARRIOR.
That’s right, I have been attending Bear SCP bootcamp for around eight weeks now and I am still loving every minute of it!
I haven’t blogged about it every week, but trust me I have been going. Aside from attending the gym, it’s the first time in my life I have ever stuck at anything and I’ve started to really look forward to the Tuesday night class which puts me in a good mood for the rest of the week.
There’s a small group of us girls that go and we’ve got to know Darren really well, so it’s as much as a social activity as it is a fitness class.
Yay, let’s dance around a flower entwined Maypole because it’s nearly Spring!
I’m not a Christmassy person at all, I absolutely hate winter and the long dark days it brings. January – February is the worst time of year for me, so the fact that it turned March a week ago makes me very happy indeed! It’s light when I leave the house for work in the morning, and light when I come home, and even though it’s chillier than it was over Christmas, I love the crisp, bright days.
So today I have a day off work and naturally I woke up early, with radio one style songs stuck in my head and the urge to write…I may as well be at work! I’m going to make the most of this opportunity by writing a pretty casual blog about a topic that should be blogged about more – women, and in particular strong female role models!
FYI this isn’t a blog about health or fitness, so if you don’t want to read my ramblings about how amazing these ladies are, then please feel free to bounce. Continue Reading
